Kia ora koutou! At the Peninsula Toy Library we believe that “play is the way” for your baby’s or child’s developmental needs.

You can rent a wide range of toys for children aged 0-12+ years from the Library for a nominal charge, or free for volunteers. Toys include ride-ons, outdoors equipment, dress-ups, puzzles, construction sets, trucks, train tracks, dolls and more.

The Toy Library is open on every Sunday from 10:30am–12:30pm. We are closed over a few week only over Christmas and New Year’s.

As we are a not-for-profit organisation so there is an annual subscription ($30), which is waived for volunteers, who are welcome to pay a small koha of $10 to keep us going. Toy rental is generally $1-2 for a two-week period, also waived for volunteers. There is also Grandparent membership and casual membership options for families staying in the area for the short-term.
