The Portobello Bowling Club was established in Portobello in 1935 and has over 40 playing members. The club operates its 8 playing rinks from October – April as part of the Dunedin open grade interclub competition. The club also has a petanque court for social games and attractive sheltered grounds with outdoor seating.

Ladies – Tuesdays
Men – Wednesday or Saturday
Mixed Grade – Saturday
Social games are available on Thursday or Sundays during the regular season depending on competition or tournament requirements. The club welcomes new members, young or old who might want to learn more about the game, socialise or make new friends.
Clubrooms available for hire
With a modern kitchen, bar, covered outdoor seating area, a full-sized snooker table and plenty of parking the Portobello Bowling Club is a great venue for corporate events, meetings, and functions. If you’d like hire the clubs facilities or discuss your next function please contact the club.
