Broad Bay playwright Sarah McDougall is producing her new play Moon at the Bottom of the Garden to premiere as part of the Arts Festival Dunedin on October 10th at the Auditorium of the Dunedin Public Art Gallery.
The play follows the life of a ‘widgie’, Rosie, a young tear-away from the 1950’s caught up in the 1955 “jukebox murder.” For sixty years, Rosie’s secrets and guilt reverberate down the generations. Repetition reigns, a consequence sparked by the death of two ‘bodgies‘; one murdered and the other hanged for the crime.
Sarah has a limited number of special price tickets to offer residents of the Peninsula. The normal ticket price is $35/$25. However, Sarah’s offer is for $15 tickets to the matinée Thursday 16th October at 1 pm. Or you can buy a block of 10 tickets for $20 each to any other performance. (Ten performances 10th-19th October)
To buy these tickets, please contact Sarah via facebook.com/moonatthebottomofthegarden. Give her your name, the number of tickets you need and the date of the performance and she will confirm your booking.
